- Safeguard is a nationwide self-storage operator based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stewart Capital partnered with Safeguard to create a capital fund to acquire and develop $100 million in self-storage properties in select locations across the country. Since our investment, Safeguard has developed and acquired properties in Chicago, suburban New York City, Tampa, Miami, Houston and New Orleans, among other cities. Stewart Capital later assisted Safeguard in bringing in additional equity and debt sponsorship to further the Company’s growth opportunities.

NewSouth was backed by KKR and other highly respected investors and is one of the top broadband integrated communications providers in the south. NewSouth has since merged with NuVox Communications and is one of the largest integrated communications providers in the nation.
