Frank B. Stewart, Jr.
Chairman of the Board
Frank B. Stewart, Jr. serves as
Chairman of the Board of Stewart Capital. He is also Chairman of the Board
of publicly-traded Stewart Enterprises, Inc., the second largest provider of
products and services in the death care industry in the United States. Mr.
Stewart is an active member and past Chairman of the A. B. Freeman Business
School Council of Tulane University. He presently serves on the Tulane
University Board of Administrators of the Tulane Educational Fund, and he is
an honorary member and served on the Board of Governors for the Tulane
Medical Center. In addition to his business activities, Mr. Stewart has
memberships in and presently serves on the boards and committees of a number
of professional, educational, charitable, civic, and social organizations
including the Salvation Army, the Boy Scouts of America, New Orleans
Business Council, the National World War II Museum, and the World Trade
Center. In 1957, he earned his B.B.A. from Tulane University’s School of
Business Administration. He served two years on active duty as an officer in
the United States Navy and six years on inactive duty.

- John McNamara joined Stewart Capital in
1996 as Chief Executive Officer after six years as an investment banker
with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation and Drexel
Burnham Lambert, where he specialized in leveraged buyouts, mergers and
acquisitions, restructurings, and merchant banking transactions. During
his tenure as an investment banker, Mr. McNamara completed over twenty
corporate finance transactions with an aggregate dollar volume in excess
of $5.0 billion. He also served in various operating capacities as a
General Manager of the Corporate Division of Davis Wire Corporation in
Irwindale, California during the Heico Group’s LBO turnaround of the $125
million basic manufacturing company. At Stewart Capital, he manages all of
the company’s partnerships and oversees all aspects of the company’s
operations. Mr. McNamara has held various positions of civic
responsibility, including Board of Directors memberships with the New
Orleans Contemporary Arts Center, the Young Leadership Council and the
Good Shepherd Nativity School, where he also served as capital campaign
chairman, and President’s Advisory Council Memberships with the A.B.
Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and Jesuit High School of
New Orleans. Mr. McNamara received his BS in finance magna cum laude from
Georgetown University in 1987 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in
1992.
